The Gold Coast Suns began in 2009 and Alpha Sport has been with them from the beginning. Starting in humble conditions in a donger, the GC Suns moved into world class facilities at Metricon stadium in 2011.
Jack Lukosius, player for the GC Suns, under the guidance of GC Suns physio, Robert Brown, speaks about using Alpha Sport products to prepare, to play and to recover. The products he uses most for pre-game warm ups are trigger balls for the hips and plantar fascia in the feet, and mini bands for ankles. Post game he uses foam rollers and large stretch bands to start the recovery process.
After a 14 year relationship, Alpha Sport has supplied the GC Suns with a huge range of products from treatment tables, strapping tape, acupuncture needles, first aid kits, braces and supports, dressings, and orthotics.
The GC Suns will continue to help grow AFL in Queensland, with participation in junior football, women’s football and the Auskick programs. Alpha Sport looks forward to continuing this relationship now and into the future.
